Scott is a founding member of Ascent and continues to lead the business today. Since
the firm’s inception in 2001, Scott has cultivated a highly skilled team of advisors and
established a culture rooted in integrity and respect. He has also developed a robust
infrastructure to provide clients with a consistent and valuable experience.

With a passion for helping clients achieve financial freedom, Scott brings over 30 years
of experience in the investment industry. He offers clients a comprehensive view of their
finances and provides strategic advice to help them attain their financial goals. Scott is
dedicated to empowering individuals to make confident financial decisions.

Before founding Ascent, Scott served as a registered advisor with The Crabbe Huson
Company and Copper Mountain Trust. He holds a degree in finance from the University
of Colorado at Boulder.

Scott’s early career mirrored his father’s path in advertising, which took him from New
York to Los Angeles and even Paris. In 1993, Scott discovered the unique appeal of
Bend, where he chose to settle and raise his children.

Embracing Bend’s active lifestyle, Scott enjoys skiing on Mt. Bachelor’s Westside bowls
in winter and boating on Central Oregon lakes with Debbie during the summer. He also
explores the area’s extensive single-track trails on his Santa Cruz Tallboy.

A dedicated philanthropist, Scott supports numerous community organizations and
encourages his team to engage in volunteerism and fundraising. He currently serves as
a board member of the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation.
